SC Water Workforce Collaborative

We are a network of SC water utilities and industry partners focused on building a strong workforce.

About the Collaborative

The Workforce Collaborative is a nonprofit initiative coordinated by the SC Water Associations and funded by member dues. We help utilities build a strong workforce by raising awareness about water careers.

The Collaborative launched in late 2025 with 27 founding members. Since then, we’ve built this website, developed a social media awareness campaign, and connected utilities with workforce development partners and resources.

Benefits of Collaborative membership

The Collaborative was founded on the idea that we can make a bigger impact by working together to build awareness of water careers. The benefits of joining the Collaborative include:

  • Opportunities to collaborate with peers and workforce experts on recruitment strategies
  • Recruitment materials, such as images, flyers, and social media content
  • Best practice sharing and knowledge-sharing sessions
  • Regular updates on the state’s utility workforce landscape
  • Connect with a network of utilities and workforce partners

Join the Collaborative

Collaborative membership is open to South Carolina water/wastewater utilities, nonprofits, government agencies, colleges, and industry partner organizations such as consulting firms, product suppliers, manufacturers and service providers.

Membership dues are based on organization type and, for utilities, the number of service connections, and are due each January. Download the membership information sheet (PDF) for more details.

To join, complete the membership form below. Questions? Contact Jenny Craft, Communications Coordinator, SC Water Associations, at [email protected] or (803) 358-0658 x0603.
