Many utilities offer internships for high school and college students and apprenticeship programs for operators. Use the map and table below to find programs by county.

Statewide Programs

The SC Rural Water Association works with utilities to offer two programs:

Pre-Apprenticeship H20 Program – a part-time, paid apprenticeship for high school juniors and seniors. Learn more

Apprenticeship H20 Program – a two-year training program for new water and wastewater operators. Must be 18 and a high school graduate (or equivalent). Learn more
